Submission Guidelines

What format and how to send?

Export your project/stems in the same sample rate/bitrate as your project in WAV format. We recommend sending your exported files using either WeTransfer or Google Drive.

Should I leave a space of silence?

Leaving a bar of silence before the start of the audio and 4 bars after the audio has ended is preferred as this is useful when we are capturing a noise profile of the audio.

Why do I hear noise in my export?

Ensure that all analogue noise within plugins are turned off and check your entire mix for clicks, pops or any other artifacts.

How should I label my export?

“Artist Name – Track Name.wav” is sufficient, if you wish to add a version number to it, this can also be helpful if multiple revisions are sent.

How much headroom do I need?

For fully digital in-the-box masters -6db up to -0.01db is fine. With analogue masters -6db to -3db of headroom is desired.

How about stems for mixdowns?

All stems need to be named appropriately such as “kick”, “snare”, “sub” and so on. All of the previous advice also applies directly to stem exports for mixdowns. Please also include an export of the entire track and include a reference track if you were working towards a specific curve/sound.
